Congressman proposes no funding for states’ HPV vaccine requirements
posted in Parenting, Vaccines |An excerpt from an article in Worldnet Daily :
A Georgia congressman has launched a financial incentive plan that would discourage states from requiring parents to have their underage daughters vaccinated for a sexually transmitted disease, a concept that currently is under review in nearly two-thirds of the United States.
I’m going to be writing about this a lot more - I have a REAL issue with the government mandating that I vaccinate my daughter against a sexually transmitted disease. I applaud Merck for developing the vaccine but I’m aggravated to say the least that they are launching a national campaign to force the vaccine on our children at a cost of $400 for the 3 injections.
Barbara Curtis has written a couple of blog entries lately that discuss the vaccine. Her entry titled “Gardasil: HPV vaccine and parental rights” is excellent.
