It’s September in Charleston
posted in Life |Ah yes! It’s that time of year again when we keep our eye on the tropics and cautiously watch what’s coming and prepare for whatever we may need to do. Tropical Storm Hanna (who is expected to be a Category 1 hurricane sometime tomorrow0 looks to be a little threatening right now:
it seems that some of our schools along the coast are closing, some are closing really early, and some are closing later in the day. But Hanna only appears to be a minor system compared to Hurricane Ike who is coming in behind her. Now Ike SCARES most people in Charleston and looking at his picture and projections below, you can see why
But for now, no one knows for certain the path or level of destruction for either. But, it’s hard not to think about Hurricane Hugo when we look at Ike. So, we prepare, we batten down the hatches, and pray that we will successfully avert another hurricane - hopefully it will be averted by the Charleston Bump!
